Lucky fan to jam with Ziggy

Ziggy Marley - contributed

One lucky fan in the US will have the chance of spending a day in the recording studio with reggae singer Ziggy Marley.

This opportunity will be made possible by way of an auction for Tony Bennett's charity, Exploring The Arts. Members of the public can bid on: Christina Aguilera's 2007 Emmy dress, the chance to meet Katie Holmes, limited edition lithographs and sunglasses signed by U2's Bono, Sting's signed bass guitar and the chance to spend a day in the recording studio with Ziggy Marley.

On Tuesday night, Whoopi Goldberg, John Mayer and Jerry Seinfeld showed their support for Tony Bennett's charity, Exploring The Arts.

The stars turned up at the Exploring The Arts gala at Cipriani Wall Street in New York, with Whoopi taking to the stage as the host of the evening. John Mayer did a rousing three-song performance, while Jerry continues to do what he's best at and performed a stand-up routine, says People.com

The Ghost actress showed that she was a fan of the Grammy-winning songwriter when she gushed to the cheering crowd: "Oh my God! How cute is John Mayer? In the old days, I'd have snatched him up. Now, I'm too tired."

The evening raised over 1.2 million dollars for art education in public schools.
