Tension is once again high between students from the Kingston-based schools, St George's College and Kingston College.
Reports reaching THE STAR are that boys from the two institutions on North Street, Kingston, are involved in a feud which began last week after a first former from one of the schools was attacked.
It is further alleged that the feud was sparked by St George's College's recent 2-1 victory over Kingston College in the Roper Cup.
Since then, there have been reports of stone-throwing incidents, stand offs and even attacks, students from both schools have told THE STAR.
Neither school's principal could be reached for comment, as they were said to be out of office.
Upon contacting the offices of Kingston College, a woman, who answered the telephone, but refused to give her name, confirmed the clashes.
"We have been hearing things, and we have heard of some incidents, but I don't see why we should be writing about this, there are other positive things," the individual said before advising THE STAR to call back to speak with another school official.
Confirmation
When THE STAR spoke to several students from both schools, they spoke openly about the conflict.
"A likkle ting a gwaan yes ... It start from last Monday when di KC man dem kick up one likkle yute weh go George's ... A deh suh di vibes start and from dat, every man turn hot head," a fourth form student from Kingston College claimed.
"A jus' 'cause a Thursday still, di man dem probably a wait til tomorrow fi do dem ting," a fourth-form student from St George's College claimed when asked how things appeared so quiet despite the feud.
THE STAR was also able to speak with a parent, Sherry-Ann Elliott, who claimed that her ward was recently attacked.
According to Elliott, her ward, a fifth-form student at St George's College, called her earlier this week, and begged that she picked him up at school after he was attacked that morning while waiting for a bus.
"... Dem beat him up and tek him T-square and bruk it up on him, dem jus' come outta nowhere and start circle him and just fire blow," she told THE STAR.
The Kingston Central police say they have heard of the situation, but no formal reports have been made.
