Self-proclaimed king of the dancehall, Moses 'Beenie Man' Davis grabbed headlines with a sizzling performance to kick start the launch of the Magnum Cash-Een-Again campaign, held at the Asylum nightclub, on Tuesday night.

Beenie's exceptional perfor-mance, which included songs like Gimmie Likkle and Know How Fi Wine, created a scene of madness inside the nightclub.

Clad in a lime-green outfit, with his brown Clarke boots and diamond socks, Beenie had his female fans eager to touch. And as he deejayed Back It Up and Dude, it proved too much for the women who drew the singer off the stage to get up close and personal.

"Me kiss him! Me kiss him! I can't believe this ... me nah brush me teeth again," said Jada Pinnock, who came all the way from Old Harbour for the event.

"Oh my God, this is the best day of my life ... Him can stay. Right now a Beenie Man me just kiss," she said, in reference to her boyfriend.

Prior to Beenie's performance, selectors Fyah Rass, Geefuss, and Dwayne, from the Stone Love crew, kept the patrons in the groove with top dancehall songs.

MC Miss Kitty had the energetic crowd laughing non-stop, with her stage antics. Known as the 'Fluffy Diva', Miss Kitty teased the audience as she 'backed it up' on Geefuss.

New kid on the block Chi Ching Ching also added to the vibes. While on stage, the lanky artiste showed the club his new dance move called Cri Crick Crick, made for the Magnum promotion. The name represents the sound made when screwing off the Magnum bottle cover, as patrons unlock the cork in hope of winning cash.

Elegant fashion

Other attractions at the launch included the elegant outfit of the Magnum Ladies who turned the heads of male patrons. The show also featured models who paraded designs courtesy of fashion designer Biggy.

After Magnum's Cash-Een-Again campaign was formally launched and the concept explained by brand manager, Gary Dixon, patrons stayed to party on with the regular Asylum crowd which turned out later for 'Ladies Night'. Entertainers Bounty Killer, Mavado, Munga Honourable, General B, Round Head and upcoming female artiste Face were spotted inside the club.

Last Tuesday's launch was the first of four. Magnum will host other launches islandwide, making stops in Montego Bay, Ocho Rios, and Mandeville on October 1, 2, and 4 respectively.

Customers will have the chance of winning up to $10,000 in cash each time they buy a bottle of Magnum.

The blue letter caps entitle purchasers of the Magnum drink to enter the $10,000 daily cash draw which will take place on Irie FM. Just collect all six letters that spell Magnum, fill out the entry form correctly, and drop in Magnum Cash-Een-Again entry boxes at select post offices islandwide.
