A large crowd descended on the KFC-promoted Digicel Rising Stars roadshow at the fast-food giant's Portmore branch inside the Portmore Mall last Saturday.

When the top-four Rising Stars contestants, Finalists Kahlil and Cameal Davis, third-place SLR and fourth-place K'Alee, entered the venue, the crowd went wild, as if the they were mega-stars already.

Tina Matalon, marketing manager of KFC, was overwhelmed by the response from patrons and fans. She said that the crowd support totally blew her away and plans are ready afoot to make it bigger and better next year.

The contestants signed autographs during a meet-and-greet segment before performing onstage for an ecstatic audience.

Even during the live performances, all the stars continued greeting fans and signing autographs. They were later led away into a Toyota Coaster bus parked at the KFC restaurant.
