Man remanded again on gun charge

Michael McLean, Star Writer
St Elizabeth

Oneal Ho-Sang, the Kingston man who was last month charged with illegal possession of a firearm, was again remanded in the Santa Cruz Resident Magistrate's Court on Thursday.

The 41-year-old from Elleston Road, who was charged in connection with the seizure of a Ruger mini 14 rifle at a house at Pepper district, St Elizabeth, is to return to court on October 7, when the case will again be mentioned.

The accused first appeared in court on September 30.

It is alleged that about 8 p.m. on September 23, the Santa Cruz Criminal Investigation Bureau, acting on information, carried out an operation in the district. They went to a house which was occupied by the accused and during a search the rifle was found. Ho-Sang was subsequently arrested and charged.
