Dalvin Brown - contributed
Two years after he went missing, 30-year-old Dalvin Brown has still not been found. His mother, Claire Shim, is as worried as she was the day he disappeared, but is still hopeful that her son is alive.
Shim, who is disabled, told THE STAR that her son left home for work on Monday, September 18, 2006. When he did not return by Wednesday, she reported him missing.
After Dalvin's story was published in early September, she said she received a text message from someone claiming to be Dalvin. The message said he would be home soon. When she tried to call the number, however, she was told that it was the wrong number. On another occasion, she was informed that he could not come to the phone.
She believes that the message was from her son and said she is trying to stay strong for the sake of her own mother who suffers from a heart condition.
She said, "I'm just praying for him. Even today, I sent up a prayer request with church. I'm trying to keep up. My friends and co-workers tell me not to worry."
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Dalvin Brown, is being asked to call his mother at 390-1081 or the Papine police.
