The caretaker of the popular Portmore dance venue Jamworld,was stabbed to death on Wednesday.
Reports from the Waterford police are that about 11:30 a.m. Paul Maxwell was in his room when he was fatally attacked by unknown assailants. Police said the caretaker received stab wounds to his face, elbow and other parts of his body. His right thumb was almost severed.

When THE PORTMORE STAR visited the scene, blood stains on the wall of Maxwell's room told the horrifying tale of the tragedy which unfolded hours earlier. The pillows and sheet were soaked in blood .
The proprietor of Jamworld, opting to remain unnamed, told THE PORTMORE STAR that Maxwell was a great employee. "He had been working for me for six years and he was a very responsible man," he said. "He was always on time and looking forward to a better life for him and his son."
No motive has been established for the killing.
