Jackass sey de worl' no level. Jackass sey im affi wonder 'ow some people get position a business place wen dem no ave de qualification a de people dem whe dem suppose to supavise.
Over the past weekend, Jackass was looking through the career sections of the news-papers. (Ow yu mean if Jackass a look tru fe wuk? Me no mus waan step up? Yu tink a every day ampa fe a carry?) And he saw quite a few jobs where the requirements were a first degree this and compe-tence in that and experience in this or the other. Fine. Great.
The requirements
But Jackass wonders if the people who will be selecting and supervising those who fit the requirements, apply for the jobs and get them. In fact, Jackass knows that at all levels in the corporate world there are people who are supposedly bosses over others who are more educated, better qualified, have more experience and know the work better.
Boss-without-papers
Hmm. Unless the boss-without-papers-and-know-how knows another kind of work better. Yeah man. Jackass knows that the world is not level, cause is nuff people go into some unlevel position to get position.
Look around at any organi-sation and you are sure to find that at some level there is someone whose position (as in within the company) just cannot be explained. Not only are they not qualified for what they are doing and sometimes actually do very little, but many times they do the very little that they do very badly. (Jackass knows that the sentence is convoluted, but no watch nutten, just follow the business carefully. If you can follow Sarah Palin you must be able to follow Jackass. Heh heh.) But they just can't be fired, disciplined or even spoken to.
Chances are it is a woman. These days, though, many times it is a young man who is working hard at the bottom to reach to the top. And he or she is very happy to blow all the chances they get (heh heh).
Sex is the unseen entry
Seriously though, sex is the unseen entry in many an organisation's balance sheet and organisational chart. And some-times it is not even a matter of direct sexual contact.
Sometimes, it is a friend of the person in the 'position' who gets the position. Y'see, they know the secret (especially for the people who are married), where the secret meetings were held, how the official spouse was fooled up, even who the child really, really belongs to, because their pal bent over and told them all about it.
It is a very, very unfair business, this matter of position for position at business. And it is going to get worse as more young men and women go the 'other way'.
Jackass sey de worl' no level. Jackass sey no position fe no position; people fe wuk fe whe dem get an no get wuk fe wuk.
