Ghostrider to return to court

A man who reportedly rode off with another man's bike without his permission appeared in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court on Tuesday.

Michael Clarke appeared before Senior Resident Magistrate Glen Brown to answer to a charge of driving away a motor vehicle without the owner's permission.

Clarke first told the court that he was riding the bike and got pulled over by the police, who told him that it had been reported missing.

The complainant however, revealed that he had not given Clarke permission to ride his bike and that he broke into his house and stole the key.

My apology

To this the accused replied, "My apology." He later admitted that he just took a ride off the complainant's bike.

When RM Brown asked the complainant what he wanted done to the accused, he said, "That's your decision your honour."

A probation report was requested and Clarke is to return to court on November 19.
