The east Kingston-based Boneless Dancers have found a new rhythm.

The six-man group of Joel, General, Onis, Deanell, Jude and Saba have been featured in several music videos including Delly Ranks' We Don' Fear Dem and in Kevin Little and Spragga Benz's Turn Me On and are now testing their skills at promotion.

The creators of dance moves such as 'Flash Dem Off', 'Pave Di Way', 'Wheel of Fortune' and 'Mexican' currently host 'Boneless Saturdays' in Rockfort, giving a mello vibe to a community usually affected by "bad vibes."

Last Saturday's event saw an increased turnout compared to previous weeks.

Skimpily-dressed women sipped on drinks, while men with Guinness in hand and puffs of white smoke hovering above them, rocked all night to the music of Nitro and Earth Tremor sound systems.

Session comes alive

The session was brought alive by hometown selector DJ Ikel Marvelous who made his presence felt with Lil' Wayne's A Milli and My Life which features The Game. He had the crowd in his control when he delivered Kartel's Life Sweet to conclude a well-delivered set.

DJ Chakka Tall took over with the vibe already set. The DJ teased the crowd with Nelly and Kelly Rowland's Dilemma and with Wyclef Jean yelling 'Someone please call 911'. LL Cool J and Jennifer Lopez's I'm Good and then the latter's collaboration with Ja Rule in I'm Real kept the vibe going before the women slithered seductively to R Kelly's Snake.

It was then time for live performances.

Dancehall artiste Mr Easy went down memory lane with Murder, igniting the crowd as the lighters went skyward, showing approval. Drives Me Crazy was also a hit among the female patrons. The artiste then dropped his latest single Tek Whey Wi Self, capping off an impressive performance. He then introduced his protg'Choppa Chop', whose single Yuh Don't Sure was well received.

With lyrics flowing like lava, Erup took the stage and charred the venue to a crisp, dropping Gyal A Run Dem Head , Click Mi Finga, Gun Sound, Way We Roll and Show Who They Are, bringing an end to the live performances.

With the sun peaking over the hills, the dance drew to a close with DJ Ikel, who had returned, making a special 'shout out' to the Tivoli girls, the British Squad dancers, the promoters and the patrons.
