Four vie for two spots

Bridgeport Primary's is 2-0 surprise victory over Ascot Primary flung Group D of the Institute of Sports/St Catherine Primary Football League wide open with four teams fighting for two available spots.

Meanwhile, Independence City inched to the lead in the group with seven points, from four games after a hard-fought 2-2 draw with Waterford.

Ascot is now second with six points from three games, Waterford third with five points and Bridgeport fourth on four points.

The final round of games will be played on Tuesday.

In other games, defending champions Portsmouth whipped Greater Portmore 5-1 and Naggo Head blanked Gregory Park 3-0 in Group D action.

Over in Spanish Town, Friendship, thumped Eltham Park 5-1, St John's blanked Angels 3-0, Mount Moreland beat Simon 3-0, and McAuley edged St Catherine 1-0.

In games on Tuesday, for the two Portmore groups: Group D, Bridgeport vs Belmont 10:00 a.m., Waterford vs Ascot 11:15 a.m. Both games at Ascot playing field. Group C, Greater Portmore vs Gregory Park, Naggo Head vs Southborough.

In Junior High results on Thursday, Braeton hammered Tredegar Park 6-0, Rosemount beat Mount Moreland 3-1 and Linstead blanked Kitson Town 3-0.
