Waterford eye Manning Cup semi-finals

Waterford High have a slim chance of making it to the semi-finals of the ISSA /Pepsi/Digicel Manning Cup, possibly as a best second-place team, but face a must-win match against Spanish Town-based team Eltham High at 1 p.m. at the Spanish Town Prison Oval today.

Meanwhile, at the Constant Spring Sports Complex, Jamaica College (JC), wounded in their first match against Waterford, but came out 4-2 victors over Eltham, will battle leaders St George's College.

St George's need only a draw to advance while JC and Waterford hunt three points and hope to sneak into the semis. Waterford tasted defeat for the first time this season when St George's scored late against them.

Meanwhile, Bridgeport High, the 2006 champs, on Saturday defeated Wolmer's 3-1 to keep their semi-final hopes alive.
