'Disturbia' in suburbia

Dear Pastor,

I am a 21-year-old woman who has been living in a community for two years. When I went there to live the community was nice and calm, but it's getting bad. I don't know what to do. Every night you can hear 'bum- bum'. No taxi wants to come into that community. They would rob them at gunpoint and take away their money. We hardly see police officers because the officers are afraid too.

Please, tell me what to do, pastor.

T. S., St Catherine, Jamaica.

Dear T. S.,

I can't believe that there is a community in Jamaica where the police are afraid to enter. Frankly, I don't believe such a community exists.

Please write to the commissioner of police and tell him about the problem.

Pastor
