Oneil Ho-sang, the Kingston man who is facing a charge of illegal possession of a firearm, had his $300,000 bail extended when he appeared in the Santa Cruz Resident Magistrate's Court on Monday.

The 41-year-old technician, a resident of Elletson Road, Kingston, was told by Resident Magistrate Stanley Clarke to return to the Black River RM Court January 16, 2009.

According to police reports, about 8 p.m. on September 23, this year, members of the Santa Cruz CIB, acting on information, carried out an operation at Pepper district in the parish.

The police went to a dwelling house occupied by the accused and following a search, one Rugar Mini 14 rifle, along with a magazine, was found wrapped in a sheet underneath a mattress inside the house. The accused man was subsequently arrested and charged after he was taken to the Santa Cruz Police Station.
