Low turnout, high energy

Although not a jam-packed party, Rum Punch, which was held at Fort Rocky, in Port Royal, on Sunday night, had tons of energy.

Outside of the venue, there were many parked vehicles, and a notable absence of the taxi-taking crowd.

As the party vibe picked up, DJ Bambino played some hot remixes with songs like T.I's Whatever You Like and Mia's Swagger Like Us.

People started to congregate at the many fully stocked bars. Even those who were not drunk staggered into the venue as they tried to maintain their balance on the rocky ground.

The women got into a frenzy when Renaissance's Dr Dre played Pamputtae's Good Good. This was just before the police stopped the music because the vehicles were poorly parked.

After about 20 minutes of silence and Dr Dre's pleading with the police, the music eventually restarted.

The vibe only intensified with the patrons doing dance moves like the 'Sweep', 'Nuh Linga' and 'Gully Creepa'.

It was a case of 'bruk out' and 'body basics' when the early '90s songs were played by Coppershot Disco. Then, it was back to Warm Up with Elephant Man, who was also present, and RDX with Everybody Dance.

DJ Liquid managed to maintain the energy and touched the right buttons with Ne-yo's Miss Independent which was remixed with Rampin Shop by Vybz Kartel and Spice.

The ladies did a good job of getting patrons to remember Old Spice.
