Babyfather not 'letting off'

Dear Pastor,

Keep up the good job you are doing. I need your advice with a problem I have with my child's father. He is not taking care of our son. If I want to get any support from him, I have to behave badly.

Recently, our son was ill and I called him for assistance. He told me he didn't have any money then hung up on me.

Pastor, can you please advise me what steps I can take to get him to take care of his child? I really need help.

C.D., St. Andrew, Jamaica

Dear C.D.,

I suggest that you take this man to the Family Court for child support. Tell the magistrate the truth when you go to court and ask the magistrate to instruct him to pay the money through the family court. you can collect it from there. Don't be afraid to take him to court.

Pastor
