Naggo Head on the prowl

Portmore's defending champions Naggo Head continued their quest to again become St Catherine Co-operative Credit Union/Happy Sutherland knockout winners following a 2-0 victory over Police in a quarter-final game on Tuesday.

In another quarter-final game, Royal Lakes created history by becoming the first Division Two (Central St Catherine League) team to make it to the semi-finals after a 3-2 penalty shoot-out win over Major League team D.B. Basovak, after a 0-0 scoreline after regulation and extra time, also on Tuesday.

The two other quarterfinal games are on today, with a double-header at the famous Ferdie Neita Park in Portmore.

At 3 p.m., Portmore's Newland take on Major League giant killers Meadows FC, while, at 6 p.m., Premier League reigning champs Portmore United tackle Tru-Juice in the feature match.

In the round of 16 play, Meadows shocked Premiership team Rivoli United 4-3 in a seven-goal thriller. Devon Hodges scored a hat-trick for Rivoli in a losing effort, while, Jason Vassell netted a double for Meadows. In another game, Portmore United boot Bodles for the second time in two years with a 5-2 triumph.
