Dear Pastor,
May the Good Lord bless you. I am writing to find a young lady to be a part of our family, preferably between the ages of 27 and 40 years of age. they could have one child.
I am looking for someone who is honest and can be trusted, preferably someone from Manchester, St. Elizabeth or Trelawny, who the police can do a check on. If anyone is interested, they can contact you for my information. Thank you.
C.W., New York, USA
Dear C.W.,
How would this person be a part of your family when you are living in New York? To be very honest with you, sometimes I am reluctant to publish letters of this nature because often, when people say that they want someone to be part of their family, what they are really looking for is a helper but they are trying to avoid paying them a salary.
It is not only the person who is coming to live as a part of the family whose background should be checked out; the family in which the person would be living should also be checked out.
Some people after taking in a person to live with them, do not want the person to bring friends to their homes, try to treat them like kids and object to their going out.
So, to be very frank with you, I don't often recommend anybody because very few people treat them well.
Pastor
