Cops seek help to ID body

The Half-Way Tree police are seeking the assistance of the public in identifying the body of a man who was fatally shot by security guards at Monclair Drive in Beverly Hills, St Andrew on Thursday August 21.

The body, believed to be in the mid 20s, is of dark complexion, slim build and about 173 centimetres long. It was clad in brown T-shirt and blue jeans pants.

The Constabulary Communication Network had earlier reported that at 11:50 p.m., a team of security guards was on duty at a location in the community when two men entered the premises.

On approach of the guards, the deceased pulled a gun and pointed it at one of the guards. The guard took evasive action and opened fire hitting the man. The police were summoned and the injured man was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Anyone who is able to identify this body is asked to contact the Half-Way Tree police at 926-8184 or 926- 2551.
