A 65-year-old man died after he was hit by a motor car on the Alexandria main road in St Ann on Sunday.

The dead man has been identified as Lloyd Redman of Bristol, Alexandria, St Ann.

Reports from the Constabulary Communication Network's liaison officer for St Ann are that about 7:30 p.m., Redman was walking along the Alexandria main road when he was hit by a grey Toyota Corolla motor car.

He sustained multiple injuries and was taken to the St Ann's Bay Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The Alexandria Police are investigating.
