Bejon's lead in Insport domino after beating Gold Club

Bejon's topped the preliminary round standings of the Institute of Sports (Insport) Community Domino competition after easily dispatching Gold Club 300-268 at 111B Molynes Road, St Andrew, on Sunday.

Both teams shared the lead on several occasions, but after the final round of matches Bejon's came away with bragging rights, topping the 11-team standings with 43 points, three more than Gold Club who were tasting defeat for the first time this season.

Meanwhile, Starlight joined Bejon's and Gold Club in the semi-finals. The fourth semi-final spot will go to either High Light or Betta Price. High Light could surpass Betta Price should they beat Starlight. Whichever team cops fourth spot will face Gold Club in semi-final two.

Other matches, Ackee Tree and Almond Tree played to a dramatic 299-299 tie at 9 Maverly Avenue, St Andrew, while High Light whipped Lyn's United 300-260 at 133 Maxfield Avenue.

Full points were awarded to Sour Sop Strikers and Starlight as Small World and Camouflage did not turn up.
