Ronaldo happy at Man United

Manchester United's Cristiano Ronald

MANCHESTER, England (AP)

Cristiano Ronaldo has dismissed the latest speculation linking him with Real Madrid and says he plans to stay at Manchester United.

Although the Portuguese winger repeatedly said at the end of last season he wanted a move to Madrid, he says it is untrue that the two clubs made an agreement that he would switch clubs at the end of the current campaign.

"There's always speculation not just about me, but about the future of players all around the world," the 23-year-old star said.

"People were speaking about me this summer but that was normal because of what I did during the season."

Ronaldo scored 42 goals for the Red Devils last term and helped the team win both the Premier League and Champions League titles.

"What people are saying now is not true," he said about reports that the clubs agreed to a deal. "I am happy at the club, I want to stay here. I feel at home here. I feel very happy here."
