Good Samaritan seeks help for homeless man

After seeing an injured homeless man on the streets of downtown Kingston on several occasions, Kevin Davis was moved to action.

Davis told THE STAR that on his many trips to the heart of the city, he noticed a man sleeping on the sidewalk. The man, Delroy Mitchell, moves about the city, sleeping wherever he can and after some probing by Davis, who took an interest in his plight, revealed that he had no family or friends and nowhere to sleep.

In a letter to THE STAR, Mitchell managed to scribble a desperate cry for help. The homeless man, whose foot has an open sore, which is causing his foot to slowly rot, wrote: "I am living on the low side of town. I have no one to call my own or nowhere to call home. Help! Help!"
