Valentine's Day bash at Ken's Wildflower

Rasbert Turner, Portmore Star Writer

Ken's Wildflower Lounge will come alive on Valentine's Day with its Valentine's For Lovers concert. This year's presentation will be a very special one, according to proprietor Lester 'Ken' Crooks.

"We realised that the one artiste will not cut it, so we decide to give a mixture. So there will be a instrumentalist and two singers. They are Maria Myrie, Jeffrey Brown on saxophone and former lead singer of the Chosen Few, Bunny Brown," he told THE PORTMORE STAR.

"They will be singing love songs for the ladies. Backing band will be Rhythm Five, to be accompanied by the Wild Flower Disco with DJ Mickey Merchant, DJ Snow and DJ Twitch spinning on the turntable."

Crooks said the entry fee will be $400 for singles and $700 for couples. Show time will be 10 p.m. and the first 100 women will each get a red rose.

A number of persons who spoke with THE PORTMORE STAR said they are glad for the occasion and will be out in their numbers to ring in their commitment to their loved ones on Valentine's Day.
