Eagle View perched atop domino league

Leaders Eagle View raced to their 11th consecutive victory in the CTL Portmore/St Catherine domino league last Sunday when they overpowered defending champions Caribbean Classic 300-280 in an away match at Portmore Lane.

As a result of their perfect record so far, Eagle View lead the standings with 44 points from 11 matches, three ahead of Fort International on 41 points from 11 matches (one loss), followed by the unbeaten Eradication in third with 40 points from 10 matches.

postponed match

Eradication have a postponed home match against Old Harbour United pending. The Jamaica Domino Federation has rescheduled this match for Easter Sunday.

Rounding off the top eight in the standings, going into tomorrow's 12th round, are Masterpiece and Ackee Pod, joint fourth on 34 points from 11 matches; followed by Hurricane with 33 points from 11 matches; Caribbean Classic and Marlie Mount both with 30 points from 11 matches.

Results of other matches played last Sunday: Hurricane defeated Colours Sports Club 300-263 in an away match at Port Henderson Plaza; Eradication whipped home team Garvey-meade 300-254; Fort International stopped home team Seamaster 300-280 in Old Harbour Bay; Lime Tree beat New Look 300-272 at Lake's Pen, ISCF got by Westchester United 300-274 at Back Road; Ackee Pod drubbed Right Stuff 300-256 at Newland Road; Ken's Wildflower beat Old Harbour Bay 300-254 in another home match; Marlie Mount crushed High Roller 300-220 at Portmore Town Centre; Masterpiece clipped Old Harbour United 300-298 in an exciting countdown in Old Harbour; and Prozz and Conzz beat Correctional Service 300-255 at Prison Oval.

Matches scheduled for tomorrow's 12th round (home teams named first): Eradication vs Ackee Pod at Gregory Park, Hurricane vs ISCF at Dunbeholden, Eagle View vs Colours at Old Braeton, Caribbean Classic vs Lime Tree at Portmore Lane, Old Harbour Bay vs Prozz and Conzz, Masterpiece vs New Look, Right Stuff vs Seamaster at Cedar Grove Road, Marlie Mount vs Correctional Services and Westchester vs Old Harbour United.

The match between High Roller and Ken's Wildflower has been postponed. Garveymeade have been dropped from the competition for turning up short in their matches and their intended opponents tomorrow, Fort International, will get a walkover.
