If you were one of the fans of the 1970s and 1980s music era, then you could be in for an entertainment treat today at the Jus Jammin Sports Bar and Grill at Rose Hall, Montego Bay.
Montego Bay-based Money Promotion Incorporation has teamed up with Jus Jammin Sports Bar and Grill to serve patrons a dish of old school music at the Jus Jammin Star Time. Artistes who have already been confirmed include Tony Tuff, General Trees, Frankie Paul, Sugar Minot, Little John, Lone Ranger, Peter Culture and Shaka Shamba.
Show time is at 8 p.m. The popular Soul Faith Disco, which originates from the western city, along with Love Zone and PD's Unlimited from New York will also complement the entertainment package.
Oldies event
"The concept is an oldies event dating back to the early 1980s," explained Clive Samuels, proprietor of Jus Jammin. He said the event started in December, which has gone down positively with the patrons and this has led to the promoters staging the show the last Saturday in each month, except for February.
Samuels, a senior partner, said there has always been a hunger for this kind of entertainment in Montego Bay, so he and his team decided to give the people what they want. "Patrons can expect to hear clean cultural lyrics along with good behaviour," Samuels said.
