The Hunts Bay police are urging the public to be on the lookout for fraudulent cheques written on the account of Issa Transport Group held by the Bank of Nova Scotia.

About 11 a.m. on Wednesday, police were summoned to a business place at Spanish Town Road, Kingston 11, where four cheques were handed over to them. The cheques bearing serial numbers 4982137, 4982138, 4982067 and 4982131 were used to make purchases amounting to $682, 361 between February 20 and 24 this year.

Investigators are advising persons who may come across cheques beginning with serial number 4982 to contact the entity on whose name the cheques are drawn or the bank at which the account is held before honouring them.
