The Best of the Best II ranking pool tournament No. 5, sponsored by Magnum, in association with Century Wrecking Service, will be played over three days - Saturday, March 28, Sunday March 29 and Sunday April 5 - at Hot Shots, 103 Constant Spring Road.
With a lucrative first prize at stake, players from Portmore, Kingston and St. Andrew, MoBay, Mandeville, May Pen, Negril and Ocho Rios are gearing up for the challenge, according to the organisers. This is in fact the richest singles tournament since the Kingston Beer last December, which offered a first prize of $75,000.

This double elimination (eight-ball) tournament offers a first prize of $80,000 and trophy, second $40,000 and trophy. Players finishing third and fourth will each receive $15,000 and those occupying fifth to eighth place, $5,000 each.
Entry fee is $2,500. The best female player will receive a playing cue and case donated by Pool Tables and Billiards Supplies Limited.
Meanwhile, the Head of State/Sharell's eight-ball tournament takes place today and tomorrow at Angels Plaza, Spanish Town, starting at 3:00 p.m. both days.
First prize is $40,000 in addition to a trophy, second $20,000 and third $7,000. Entry fee - $1.500.
