Campbell expected to reign as long-distance king

Kemoy Campbell of Bellefield High - Ian Allen

NAME: Kemoy Campbell

DOB: 14.1.91

CLASS: One

SCHOOL: Bellefield High

EVENTS: 1500m, 5000m

PR: 3:42.57 (1500m), 14:41.25 (5000m)

MAIN RIVALS AND WHY: Campbell doesn't believe he has any serious threats in any of his events. "Right now I don't really have any (rivals)."

LAST YEAR'S PERFORMANCE: Won 5000m and finished third in the 1500m.

EXPECTATION THIS YEAR: Campbell hopes to break the record in the 5000m and 1500m.

NOTE: He is the national record holder in both events. Campbell should prove very hard to beat at Champs. In his first year at Class One, last year, Campbell won the 5000m, but was beaten by Calabar's André Thomas in the 1500m. Since them, Campbell has surged far ahead of the competition.
