Upcoming artiste Cen'C Love is trying to make a positive mark in the music industry.

The artiste, whose real name is Ngeri Livingston, is the daughter of legendary singer Bunny Wailer. She said she left Georgia State University (Atlanta, United States) in 2006, where she was pursuing African American Studies and Portuguese, to make music her career.

"I dropped out to do music. I did it (went to school) for about three years and then seh mi caan do this anymore. At the time, I was undecided and I was picking up a lot of different classes, but I do plan to go back to school. I don't have the time now 'cause me a try buss big. Music tek up a lot of time so I can't do both. The music business is spontaneous and you never know what may come up," Cen'C Love told THE STAR.

In 2006 she linked with a small company to propel her career, but nothing major happened. She decided to come to Jamaica so her father could hear her.

a unique sound

"I came to Jamaica to let him know what was happening. He was surprised and impressed. I completed an album with him by the end of 2006 but it is still unreleased," Cen'C Love said.

Since 2007, she has been working actively with Revolutionary Entertainment. She did a single called A Little More Time, which was complemented by a music video last year and collaborated with her cousin Andrew Tosh for Eye To Eye. And, she is promoting her newest single, Yours Alone, which is a collaboration with popular singer Richie Spice. Cen'C Love said this latest track has been getting a lot of airplay since its pre-Valentines Day release.

Generally, her music has been doing well in the Jamaican market.

positive experience

"Locally, they like the vibe 'cause I compose with the guitar. I have a unique sound and dem love it. I haven't gotten any negative responses. Even with the producers that I have come across, it's always been a positive experience," Cen'C Love told THE STAR, while noting that she has done shows locally and overseas.

Being a relatively new artiste, Cen'C Love said she is promoting herself and singles more than working on her album. Nonetheless, she hopes her possible 14-track album will be completed by summer.
