Romain Virgo has his eye on yet another prize: that of maintaining his top spot on the local chartsin addition to pushing his newly released single, 'Wanna Go Home'.

His debut single, Caan Sleep, is spending its second week in the number-one spot on the Richie B Top-20 Reggae Singles chart and for this Virgo said he is extremely pleased. "I wasn't looking at it as a hit song. It was the first release on Donovan Germain's label, Penthouse, and I just did it normally. So right now I'm surprised and happy at the same time".

In reference to his new sultry, romantic single, Wanna Go Home, produced by Dawin Brown on the Vikings label, Virgo said, "Now that is a song that I am sure will be even bigger than Caan Sleep."

The video, which was recently shot, accumulated hundreds of hits inits first week posted on youtube.com. Virgo said though the song's lyrics ring true for many, he didn't write it off personal experience. "The only thing that's actually true was that it was raining the day I wrote the song," he said laughing. "The song is just talking about being somewhere and you're busy, while your special person, your baby, is all alone at home while it's raining."

Virgo, a student at the Edna Manley College of the Visual and Performing Arts pursuing his Bachelor of Arts degree in Performance, with amajor in voice and a minor in keyboard, is now putting the finishing touches on his debut album produced by both Penthouse and Vikings records.
