Entertainer Marlon 'Hit List' Lawrence will reappear in the Spanish Town Resident Magistrate's Court on June 2 to answer charges of abduction and rape. When Lawrence appeared before Resident Magistrate Simone Maddix on Tuesday, the RM asked for the medical certificate for the file. The entertainer who is on $100,000 bail is being represented by attorney at-law Earl Hamilton. He told the court that his client was of sound character and has being contributing to the music industry positively. Investigating officer Detective Sergeant Desrine Watson of the Bridgeport Police Station told the court that on January 12, the complainant was in Half-Way Tree and stopped a vehicle driven by Lawrence. Instead of taking the complainant to Spanish Town, he allegedly went to Portmore and lured the 19-year-old in a room where he raped her. He kept her captive for three hours before taking her to Spanish Town where she was released. She made a report to the police and following an investigation the entertainer was picked up at a recording studio along St John's Road. He has maintained his innocence throughout his court appearances. |
