Fake dentist returns to court

Charles Hall, an elderly man who was arrested in a Corporate Area community recently after he was found to be operating in breach of the Dental Act, is to reappear before the court on April 30.

Allegations are that the police was in the community when they observed a zinc fence with a painted advertisement displaying a dentist's office.

inquiries

Further inquiries were made and the police said that Hall identified himself as the dentist and operator of the business.

However, Hall was unable to provide a certificate showing that his business was registered, and further investigation revealed he was not registered as a dentist.

He was subsequently arrested and charged with breaching the Dental Act.

Hall had, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge and was granted bail when the matter was first brought before the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court. The accused man's bail was yesterday extended until April 30.
