Cop among 4 killed in accidents |

|
A police constable is among at least four people who died as a result of motor-vehicle accidents on the weekend. The cop, Rodney Thompson of the Mobile Reserve Division, was killed along the McCooks Pen main road in St Catherine on Saturday. The other three people, Kemeisha Anderson, 19; Donovan Johns, 24, and Kedon Kedoo, 25, all of Three Miles River district, Westmoreland, died after the vehicle in which they were travelling, crashed into a utility pole on the Farm Pen main road in the parish yesterday. An 18-year-old girl from Savanna-la-Mar was also reportedly injured in that incident. Lost control Reports said just after 4 p.m., Thompson and three other colleagues were responding to a scene in McCooks Pen when they drove into a pool of water and lost control of the vehicle. It crashed into another vehicle. They were taken to hospital where the constable died. In the other incident, Johns was driving a Honda Civic along with the three aboard when he lost control of the vehicle which crashed into a utility pole. The four sustained multiple injuries and were taken to the Savanna-la-Mar Public Hospital where Johns, Kedoo and Anderson died. The 18-year-old was admitted in critical condition. |
