Gunmen wreaked havoc in Salt Spring |

Eight armed men wreaked havoc at a wake which was being held in Salt Spring, St James, yesterday, opening fire on those present and shooting six men, three fatally. Dead are Roy Ricketts, 28; his brother Ricardo, 18, and Fabian Bailey, 24, all of Salt Spring district in the parish. The injured men are aged 13, 18 and 27 and are of Cottage, also in Salt Spring. According to the St James Homicide Unit, about 1:40 a.m., a wake was being held at a section of Salt Spring known as Buck Toe Lane. Armed thugs The six were among others at the wake when they were pounced upon by the armed thugs who immediately opened fire hitting them. Three of the men died on the spot while the others were taken to hospital where one was admitted in critical condition. The others were treated and released. |
