Ho-Sang to return to court

O'Neil Ho-Sang a Kingston man facing gun and ammunition charges, will return to the Santa Cruz Resident Magistrate's Court on April 27 when a trial date is expected to be set.

The 41-year-old man of Elletson Road, Kingston, who was charged with illegal possession of firearm and ammunition, had his $300,000 bail extended when he appeared before RM Stanley Clarke on Friday.

According to police reports, on the 23rd of September last year, about 8 p.m., members of the Santa Cruz CIB, acting on intelligence, carried out an operation at Pepper district in the parish.

The police went to a dwelling house occupied by the accused and, following a search, one Ruger mini 14 rifle, along with a magazine, was found wrapped in a sheet underneath a mattress inside the house. The accused was subsequently arrested and charged.

He was taken before the court later that same month and on other occasions and was denied bail until November last year.
