Alliance selector Boom Boom is throwing down the gauntlet to veteran selector Ricky Trooper to settle all their arguments onstage for a sound clash at Rendezvous this Saturday.

Selectors Ricky Trooper, Hotta Ball, Boom Boom and Wizzla will contest in a sound-clash segment at the Alliance affiliated stage show Rendezvous at Temple Hall Estate this Saturday.

Selector, Boom Boom, told THE STAR in an interview that while he will be looking to clash anyone on the bill, he is gunning for World Clash champion, Ricky Trooper.

at odds

The two have been at odds publicly since late last year when Trooper responded to an article published in THE STAR, where Alliance selector Boom Boom was accused of threatening another selector for playing too many Vybz Kartel songs.

Trooper elaborated that the selectors are being hypocritical saying, "Most a dem selector weh come inna di paper and seh dem nuh have no allegiance to any artiste, all of dem are liars."

settle the argument

Now Boom Boom is ready to take the exchange of words to the stage - talking 'smack' bout Trooper recently. He told THE STAR, "It's been a long time Ricky Trooper fi 'dead' (musically) - from last year him gwaan wid him tings, a call up mi name and call up mi fren dem name. Is a real thing and we need to settle the argument and to confirm dis onstage. We need fi face off."

He continued, "yuh see di people weh him sen a hell inna fi him day, him a join dem a hell cause mi a go send him dere. From him call mi name mi nah wait pon no formal clash, mi a step up pon stage pon him, a six song mi a use fi kill him."

numerous songs

According to Boom Boom, he has heard that Trooper has done numerous songs, calling up his name, but thus far, he has not prepared any dubs or specials for the occasion. Boom Boom says he will not be using any veteran or established artistes such as Bounty Killer and Mavado to win in the clash - but young artistes from off the 'Gully'.

Being a predominately Alliance associated event, Boom Boom says it will have no impact on the outcome, as he has no advantage in the clash.

'musical killing' game

The selector is not worried either about going up against a veteran in the 'musical killing' game. "Right now, him nuh have nutten to lose, when last yuh see Ricky Trooper pon no flyer? A di best ting di promoter fi dis show eva do fi Trooper career. To di way my ting a gwaan, Trooper a try use my hype to get back hype for himself," he said.

With complete confidence in his ability, Boom Boom doesn't believe he will lose, boasting: "right now mi good, Trooper can't 'kill' (musically) me - mi well confident of dat. All when mi a sleep dere is no way on God Earth him can kill me - if Trooper kill mi, mi stop play sound."

When contacted, Ricky Trooper was, however, unavailable for comment.
