Harry 'Bungles' Daley trial continues today
The trial of Superintendent Harry 'Bungles' Daley is to continue today in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court.

Yesterday, head of the anti-corruption branch, Assistant Commissioner Justin Felice, on Tuesday testified in court that a secret operation was carried out last year against Superintendent Daley after receiving reports that the senior cop was involved in extortion.

During his testimony, ACP Felice said due to the sensitivity of the case, only himself and a few members of the Jamaica Constabulary Force were privileged to information that Superintendent Daley was the subject of investigation.

ACP Felice told the court that the investigation, which he headed with the help of a three-member team, collected enough evidence to arrest Superintendent Daley on July 31, 2008.

Following a ruling by the director of public prosecutions, the cop was charged.

After spending a week behind bars, Superintendent Daley was offered $1 million bail on August 5. He was later ordered to visit the police each day.
