Star Tell Me Pastor

Desperate for help

Dear Pastor,

I am asking for your fatherly advice. I am 25 years old and I live with my sister and her husband. My problem is this, I don't have a job and I can't pay my school fee. I don't know what to do and I don't have anyone to help me. I had a hard life when I was a child. My family treated me so badly and because of this I had to spend most of my life in a girl's home.

I am frustrated now that I don't have a job. I have been looking for jobs but I can't get any. The only thing I can do is cook; I am very good at it. Cooking is what I do best, but I am not certified. Pastor, can you help me?

F.C., Jamaica

Dear F.C.,

I am sorry to hear that you are not able to pay your school fees. I am hoping that by publishing your letter someone will offer you a job as a cook.

I believe that you are a hard-working young lady, and that you are determined to do well. Don't give up. Have you spoken to your church about your situation? Perhaps you should have a word with your pastor. Let him know of your financial needs.

Pastor.
