FORMER national junior representative, Kimberly Williams, continued her impressive form at the collegiate level as she scored a double victory to help her team, Florida States University, win the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) outdoor female track and field championships on the weekend at Coral Gables, Florida.

Williams, the former Vere Technical outstanding jumper who several weeks ago won the NCAA indoor triple jump title, first won the triple jump with a 13.63 metres leap then returned to close the double by taking the long jump with an impressive 6.57m, as her team rattled up 160 points for their second-ever conference championships title.

Olympic 100m silver medallist Kerron Stewart started her 100 metres outdoor campaign in fine style at the Auburn War Eagle Meet as she crossed the line first in 11.10.

There were also victories at the meet for Jovanee Jarrett and Dwight Mullings. Jarrett, who won last weekend, had another victory in the long jump as she did 6.23m.

After an average indoor season, former Kingston College jumper Alain Bailey gave signs that he will be one of the main contenders in the long jump this outdoor season. The Arkansas junior did a personal best 7.98 metres to win the event at the Arizona McDonald Invitational. The performance by Bailey was the best among college athletes so far this season and the ninth best-ever mark for Arkansas University.
