Ghost and partner plan |
|||||
The lead article in last Friday's edition of THE WEEKEND STAR was quite hilarious, yet scary to say the least. According to the story, residents of a small community in St Mary are being haunted by the ghost of a woman who once ran a partner (savings) plan. payments The woman is said to have passed away before a number of persons could come up with their payments and as such, are being haunted by the 'duppy' who now wants what she is owed. As unbelievable as this may sound, the article further goes on to state that persons have even fled the community as they try to escape the ghost and the beatings she has been handing down on them over the past three weeks, a claim which definitely plays on one's mind. 'duppy conqueror' There are also plans to seek the service of a 'duppy conqueror', as residents hope to bring back normality to the community. Time and time again, we hear of duppy stories, but this one takes the cake! Who would ever have thought that a ghost would be haunting a whole community for money allegedly owed to her? That's pretty much unthinkable! It would be interesting to see the outcome of the situation after the duppy conqueror visits the community. Persons who partake in this kind of savings plan now have some thinking to do and ensure their payments are made on time - or else! |
