March 28, 2009 will always be in the hearts of Tanesha Taylor and Donnavan Pennant. It was on that day that the two under the leadership of God, decided that they would become man and wife. Tanesha is now Mrs Pennant and Donnavan can now boast that he is the real 'big man'. The couple invited more than 130 guests to share in their wedding ceremony at the Cascade Faith Fellowship Missionary Church of God in St Ann, where Bishop Jerrol Christie gave them instructions on marriage. He prayed for them and blessed the wedding rings. After signing the marriage certificate he pronounced them man and wife. hugs of congratulations
It was then off to the Depass residence at Christiana in Manchester for their reception. The newly weds could not have been disappointed with the way things turned out. It was all excitement for the young couple who were greeted with many hugs of congratulations, especially from the many young guests who crammed the reception area. The bride and her groom entered the grounds of the venue at 6:15pm, and used up approximately 45 minutes to pose for several cameras, before the Master of ceremony Pastor Gary Reid introduced the large bridal party and the newly weds. bound together forever When the Pennants entered the reception hall, their entry was met with thunderous applause from the guests. In his opening remarks, Pastor Reid in congratulating the Pennants, also wished them happy times together; but he could not resist telling them that they were bound together forever. There were toasts in abundance. Thaema Grant who gave a toast to Mrs Pennant said she is a most caring individual who is also kind. Grant said Mrs Pennant is hard working and that she loves to farm. She said Pennant had been instrumental in her (Grant) passing mathematics at the CXC level. "Donnavan has taken unto himself a very good wife; and I am begging you Mr Pennant to take the best care of Tanesha," said Grant. André Robinson in his toast to the groom congratulated his brother Donnavan. He said Donnavan is known as a humble individual who has taken one of the best steps by taking Tanesha to be his wedded wife. Robinson called on Mr Pennant to love Tanesha at all times and allow God to be at the heart of their marriage. Adaneka Jarrette who did a toast for the bride and groom said Tanesha has always been a tenacious, dedicated and hardworking individual. She noted that all can testify that Tanesha is a wonderful woman. wonderful woman She called on Tanesha to share the house work with her new husband and added that Mr Pennant who is a wonderful selector of music has selected a wonderful woman to be his wife. Tanese Pennant, daughter of Tanesha and Donnavan did a poem in tribute to her parents, before the newly married couple had their first dance in public. This was a most exciting affair for the guests. The two danced to the well known song Lady in Red. In his reply, Mr Pennant said he was a proud man to be married to Tanesha. He thanked all who attended, but he had a special word of thanks for his wife's parents, who he said gave birth to a wonderful daughter so that he could marry her. "Tanesha is the best woman I could marry," said Mr Pennant to loud cheering from the audience.
