Two men were shot, one fatally, by a gunman on Waltham Park Road, Kingston 13, on Tuesday.

Dead is Richard Hinds, 18, of White Horses, St Thomas, and Brotherton Avenue, Kingston 13, while injured is a 30-year-old man.

Reports received by the Constabulary Communication Network are that about 6:20 p.m., Hinds was standing among a group of men when he was approached by a man armed with a firearm, who immediately opened fire, hitting him, before escaping.

The 30-year-old man, who was driving along the roadway during the time of the incident, was shot and injured by a stray bullet.

Both men were taken to hospital where Hinds died; the other was admitted in serious condition. The Hunts Bay CIB is investigating.
