A woman is now in custody at the Castle Police Station in Portland after allegedly stabbing her children's father to death during a domestic dispute on Tuesday.

Dead is 28-year-old Kevin Johnson, a security guard of David Lane in Port Antonio.

The police report that the woman and Johnson had an abusive relationship which resulted in her fleeing their common-law home to live with a family member at Johns Town.

The police said Johnson reportedly went to the house in Johns Town about 5:30 p.m. to visit his two children. It is reported that while there, the two became involved in a dispute and knives were drawn.

During a tussle, Johnson was reportedly stabbed in the chest. He fled the house but collapsed some distance away. He was rushed to the Port Antonio hospital but was pronounced dead.

The woman has since been detained for questioning.
