Two of three persons taken into custody by the St Elizabeth police, following the seizure of six illegal firearms in a two-apartment house at Newton district in the parish last week, have been charged. Mark Williams, 33, and Patricia Pinnock are booked to appear in the Santa Cruz RM court today to answer to gun and ammunition charges. They were charged last week, while the other person was released. Police took the three into custody after they were held at the unfinished house. The Constabulary Communication Network liaison officer for the parish, Karole Panton, had reported that about 4:30 a.m. the police, acting on information, carried out an operation in Newton district. Armed with a warrant, the police went to the house, which was occupied by a female and two males, and following a search, six firearms, five 9mm pistols and a .38 revolver with three live rounds, were found. |
