Driver dies as car overturns |

A 24-year-old man was killed when a car he was driving overturned along the Plowden main road in Manchester yesterday morning. Four people who were passengers sustained injuries and were hospitalised. Dead is Jason Reid of Plowden district, while three of those injured are Simone Cassells, 20, Zowie Frazer, 16, and a man identified only as Clapper, all of Plowden district. lost control Reports from the Constabulary Communication Network's liaison officer for Manchester are that about 1:30 a.m., Reid was driving his white Toyota Corolla motor car along Plowden main road towards Alligator Pond with the four aboard. On reaching a section of the roadway he failed to negotiate a corner, lost control of the vehicle which overturned into a gully. All persons sustained multiple injuries and were taken to the Mandeville Regional Hospital where Reid died. The others were admitted in stable condition. The Cross Keys police are investigating. |
