Two people were shot, one fatally, by gunmen at McKenley Crescent, Olympic Gardens, Kingston 20, on Sunday.

Dead is 39-year-old Ian Wiles of McKenley Crescent. A 48-year-old woman was also injured.

The Community Constabluary Network reported that about 10:50 a.m. Wiles was walking along McKenley Crescent when he was approached by men armed with guns. The hoodlums opened fire hitting him several times.

The woman, who was in the vicinity at the time of the shooting also received gunshot wounds. They were taken to hospital where Wiles was pronounced dead and the woman treated and released.

The Olympic Gardens police are investigating.
