Motorcyclist dies from injuries |

|
A motorcyclist died from injuries he sustained after he was hit from a motorcycle on the Norman Manley Boulevard, Negril, Westmoreland, on Friday, June 19. Two pedestrians were injured in the incident. The dead man has been identified as Anthony Ennis, 38, of Whitehall while injured are Julia Fuchs and Marcus Kirkmire, both 27 of Austria, USA, and who were residing at Merrills Beach Resort in the parish. Reports by the Constabulary Communication Network are that about 11:15 p.m. last Friday, Ennis was driving a KTM Hurricane motorcycle registered 2633 G along the main road heading to Lucea. On reaching a section of the road, a Toyota Corolla motor car which was travelling in the same direction crashed into the rear of the motorcycle, hitting him to the ground. The driver of the Corolla then lost control of vehicle, hitting Fuchs and Kirkmire who were walking along the sidewalk. Ennis and the two pedestrians sustained multiple injuries and were taken to the Savanna-la-Mar Hospital where Ennis was pronounced dead. The others were admitted in stable condition. The Negril police are investigating. |
