With 16 semi-finalists already chosen from Portmore and May Pen on the Tastee Talent Trail, the third leg of auditions will unfold on Saturday, June 27, at the Island Village in Ocho Rios. Having selected 16 from the first two sets of auditions, the Trail will make four other stops in Port Antonio, Montego Bay and Kingston, in addition to this Saturday's to select an additional 32. So far, the level of talent has been in keeping with the standard set by the Tastee Talent series over the last 30 years. After a slow start in Portmore things returned to normal with a bumper crowd in May Pen and indications are that Ochi will be just as strong. larger turnout If calls to the Tastee Talent office are anything to go by, then there should be an even larger crowd this Saturday than that in May Pen on June 6. Registration begins at 9 a.m., followed by a visit by the hopefuls to the pre-judges area, where they will be passed or rejected by pre-judges: Courtney Sergeant and Bagga Case. From there, the lucky ones on the trail will move on to the final judging tent to face judges; Audrey Reid, Basil Walters and Michael Edwards. The first of two semi-finals is set for Kingston in October, with the second being in Montego Bay in November. The grand finals will be held at Mas Camp on December 5. |
