"Now that I am back in the land of my birth, I am working towards my ultimate aim, which is to own my own dance studio. What is stopping me from attaining that objective is the lack of sufficient funding," Nicole Sterling told THE WEEKEND STAR.

After Graduating from Camperdown High School in Kingston, Sterling ventured into dancing as a profession. Imagine doing something you love and being paid for it.

Just how did her career start following her graduation, Sterling enrolled at the Edna Manley School of Dance. She graduated in 2006 after completing three years at the institution, before heading overseas.

"After leaving Edna Manley, I went to live in the Cayman Islands, where I was a dance instructor. On my return to Jamaica, Camperdown High and Motions Dance and Fitness Centre, were my next stops respectively," she said.

"I also represented the National Dance Company at the Carifesta competition in the Cayman Islands," Sterling added.

Although she specialises in traditional Jamaican and African dances, she has crossed into the dancehall arena, and her latest project was the role she played in the choreographing of Tarrus Riley and Konshens' Good Girl Gone Bad.

"This is my first video appearance, but it definitely won't be my last. I had so much fun working on this project, it was really wonderful," Sterling pointed out.

Sterling is also featured in Raine Seville's Slippery When Wet video.

"Just look out for me, and what is to come from me. I will bring a diverse force with me. Just be on the look out," she told THE WEEKEND STAR.
